DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform and document inspection on first piece, in process, receiving and finished material products, ensuring conformance to prints and specifications.
Interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and routings to determine production standards and tolerance limits.
Setup and pull gauges for upcoming operations in work centers.
Gage check in/out with use of software.
Gage calibration with the use of software.
Assist in verifying that the gauges are in proper locations.
Assist in identifying and documenting nonconforming products.
Assist in conducting internal audits.
Perform cleanliness testing per specifications.
Creation and updating control plans.
Creation and submission of PPAP documents.
Adhere to Company Policies and Procedure including safe work practices.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 5 years' experience.
Schooling/Certificates pertaining to Quality is a plus.
Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications and procedures is required.
Forklift experience is preferred.
Good computer skills and knowledge of Access, Excel and Word.
Strong knowledge of GD&T.
Requires knowledge of quality tools and gages including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, protractors, height gages, comparators and bore gages.
Mathematical skills are a must.
The ability to pay close attention to detail is a must.
Works well independently and within a team.
Demonstrates positive attitude and relates in a positive manner when interacting with all personnel.
Good problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to multitask by prioritizing tasks with a sense of urgency and flexibility as required meetings production needs.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
