Enterprise Data Architect
Job Description:
As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will lead the data transformation and the implementation of an Enterprise Data Platform for Fathom Digital Manufacturing.
You are expected to be a subject matter expert in Business Intelligence architecture and solutions.
The scope and impact of your work will frequently extend to a variety of functional areas such as finance, sales, and operations.
Work is accomplished with limited oversight and allows you to exercise creativity in the development of new approaches, methods or techniques.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to management and provide functional supervision to BI developers.
As the Enterprise Data Architect:
you will be an authority for enterprise BI data warehouse architectures Identify tactical directions for enterprise BI architectures including all data warehouse environments and contributes to development of strategic goals and direction Research and answer questions related to technical direction for BI solutions at an enterprise level including changes to existing solutions, possible addition of bolt-ons, or entirely new systems Lead projects providing direction on matters of overall design and technical direction Act as the primary driver toward establishing an Enterprise Data Platform and the data architectures, directions, and approaches used for enterprise BI solutions.
Establish the architecture standards, guidelines, directions, and approaches Lead the research and development of enterprise BI solutions.
Provides consultation and recommendations for enterprise BI solutions and technical support for enterprise data environments Work closely with business partners to identify and specify requirements for data environments to support Fathom's reporting needs Provide guidance in resolving difficult and moderately complex technical problems, provides guidance, coaching and training to BI developers As the Principal Business Intelligence Architect, you will have the final authority for enterprise BI architectures:
You will identify strategic and tactical directions for enterprise BI architectures including all data warehouse environments Enterprise Data Architect QualificationsMust have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted At least eight (8) years of experience in enterprise-wide design and architecture of business intelligence systems and/or Enterprise Data Platforms.
Preferred:
Knowledge of complex application systems such as enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, and configure price quote applications Business intelligence experience in manufacturing Skills:
Broad understanding in developing data architecture strategies and roadmaps, in particular modern Cloud-based Enterprise Data Platforms.
Broad knowledge of design and development of enterprise business intelligence architectures including software and hardware landscapes, data models, tools, support models, business processes, security, and complex data models for large scale systems Proficient in leading cross-functional teams through problem solving, strategic planning, and design mapping processes Previous demonstration of the following skills:
data analysis, data modeling, data migration, data warehouse/mart design, database design, system integration and ultimately implementation Ability to:
Mentor and provide leadership to team members Facilitate discussion between technical and business staff Understand complex business requirements and translate those into effective technical solutions, strategic and tactical directions You will also participate in projects providing direction on matters of overall design and technical direction, acts as the primary driver toward establishing software and data architectures, directions, and approaches to be used for enterprise BI Solutions, and performs some of the ETL development You will establish the architecture standards, guidelines, directions and approaches.
As well as lead the research and development of enterprise BI solutions and provides consultation and recommendations for enterprise BI solutions and technical support for enterprise data environments You will work closely with business partners to identify and specify requirements for data environments to support Fathom's complex reporting needs, develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Business Intelligence technologies, techniques and processes You will also provide mentorship and leadership in resolving complex technical problems, provide guidance, coaching and training to BI developers Knowledge of integration of 'bolt-on' applications to purchased enterprise systems and how this impacts BI systems Recommended Skills Architecture Business Intelligence Business Processes Business Requirements Consulting Creativity Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
